Today's forecast

A potent cold front will swing through the area by daybreak, prompting a stretch of cool weather for South Florida that will sustain for the duration of the work week.

While Tuesday morning’s lows will slide into the lower and mid-50s, it will be Wednesday when the chilliest air settles into the area.

At that time, lows will range from the upper 40s inland to the lower 50s across the metro area.

While records are not in jeopardy, the cool weather will be quite a change from Monday’s 80-degree highs. 

Despite the sunshine, Tuesday afternoon will be the coolest afternoon with highs in the mid-60s.  

The last time a daytime temperature was that cool was Dec. 30, 2023. It’s been a while!

Highs in the lower to mid-70s will be the rule for the remainder of the week as partly to mostly sunny skies prevail.
