A potent cold front will swing through the area by daybreak, prompting a stretch of cool weather for South Florida that will sustain for the duration of the work week.
While Tuesday morning’s lows will slide into the lower and mid-50s, it will be Wednesday when the chilliest air settles into the area.

While records are not in jeopardy, the cool weather will be quite a change from Monday’s 80-degree highs.
