Low temps Monday morning have been in the mid 70s in South Florida, much warmer with the cloudier skies than we saw over the weekend.

We’ll keep the partly cloudy skies Monday and a light sea breeze coming onshore. Highs remain seasonable and in the low 80s.

We are still expecting to see high tide flooding Monday and Tuesday as we are ending our full moon cycle. High tides could produce standing water so if you see a flooded area this is most likely why.

Monday night will be another warm and above average night. Temps fall back into the low mid 70s with some cloud cover around. There won’t be much rain in the forecast the next few days but we will be watching for a stronger cold front to arrive midweek.

Stronger in the sense that we get in on scattered showers for Wednesday into Thursday and much cooler air behind the front comes into South Florida! We’ll actually look to drop BELOW average! Overnight lows will look to dip into the 50s with afternoon highs staying in the 70s! Last time we saw these conditions was back in February!

The tropics are quiet at this time. The 4:00 am advisory was the last from the National Hurricane Center for Sara as the remnants of the system move into the Gulf of Mexico. This system is not expected to re-strengthen as it is hostile for tropical weather in the gulf at this time. There is lots of upper level wind shear and slightly cooler water in the northern gulf. But, the remnant moisture will attach to our midweek front and just bring an increase in humidity and rain for us.
