Warm ocean water temperatures are responsible for this prolonged bout of warm weather this summer and early fall.
Morning numbers have remained near or above 80 degrees early Thursday, with typical numbers coming in around the mid-70s.
Afternoon temperatures will also be above average, topping out in the low-90 degrees.

While we do not see a big cool-down coming our way, temperatures will relax a bit as deeper tropical moisture moves in this weekend, especially by Sunday.
