We are right in the middle of another warm morning on Friday as most locations are above 80 degrees, well above average for this time of the year.

Once again, we blame this on above average water temperatures and a subtle East breeze.

This same breeze is bringing in a few more showers, and South Florida may even see a few thunderstorms before everything pushes well West by late Friday afternoon.

Highs will top out around 90 degrees with humidity.

Saturday looks about the same, with the tide turning more unsettled by the second half of the weekend.

Deeper tropical moisture is forecast to move into the region and stick with us into the early/middle portion of next week.

This is all related to an area we are watching in the Gulf of Mexico. The chance of tropical development is up to 40%, but it doesn’t appear as though we will get a significant system.

A front will likely keep stronger winds over the area (not good for tropical development), and thus limit some development.

Bottom line? Heavier rain and cooler temperatures appear likely.
