This morning, there have been several areas with heavy rain and dreary conditions. Temps have started in the upper 70s and we’ll warm into the mid 80s for the afternoon.

Rip current statements until 8 pm tonight and small craft advisories are in effect until 2 pm this afternoon. The easterly breeze is keeping the area active today and tomorrow. Overnight lows are in the upper 70s and highs for Sunday remain in the mid 80s.

It stays unsettled all weekend. The chance for on-and-off downpours could lead to localized flooding and ponding around the area. We’ll see rain again at the start of this upcoming week but there are changes on the way!

Our first front will bring a taste of fall to South Florida. The front will start to approach leading into Tuesday. This will drop our humidity back into the upper 60s so morning temps could fall close to 70 degrees. Afternoon highs will also briefly take a small dip into the low 80s.

Tropical Storm Leslie is expected to become extra-tropical and fall apart over the next 24 hours. There is also another area closer to the Cabe Verde area that has a 40% chance of development. There could be a tropical depression in the next 24 hours but it looks to stay in the open waters for now.
