NBC6’s Steve MacLaughlin has your forecast for today October 11, 2024.

We were hoping for a bit more dry weather on the backside of Milton like we saw on Thursday, but unfortunately, Friday was wetter than expected and models are coming in wetter for the weekend too.

Saturday morning may be wet in the Keys and dry up north with partly sunny skies. In the afternoon, the big question is how far north the showers creep up from the south. But scattered afternoon storms are looking like a good bet up north.

Beach goers can definitely get in some early beach time, but maybe not as much in the afternoon, but rip currents will be an issue all day Saturday.

Sunday’s rain chances increase to 60% and they could happen at any time. We still have eyes on our first autumn cold front on Wednesday.

Don’t expect a huge dip in temps, but we’ll certainly lose a few degrees, down to 82° on Thursday. But beginning Wednesday, there should be a sharp drop in humidity.

Saturday: Partly sunny. Morning storms south creep north in the afternoon. Rain: 30% AM to 50% PM. High: 85°.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Anytime storms. Rain: 60%. High: 85°.
