Meteorologist Steve MacLaughlin has the latest forecast Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

Hurricane Rafael continues to move away from Cuba and Key West. We’ll see the last of the storm’s far outer bands in the Lower Keys early this evening and then we should dry out across all of South Florida overnight.

Friday and Saturday look lovely with low rain chances, although still a bit warm and muggy and still on the breezy side.

A batch of tropical moisture will slide just south of us Sunday and Monday, increasing our rain chances, but only in the 30-40% range.

Should the system develop more quickly or shift a bit north, our rain chances would be higher, but at present, we are feeling confident about the lower rain chances.

Rip currents continue through Friday evening and the Small Craft Advisory comes down at 1 a.m. tonight.
