The South Florida weather forecast for April 6, 2025.
It’s been a muggy morning with mostly clear skies. Temps fell into the mid-70s to kick off the day, and they will warm into the mid-80s this afternoon. The breeze sticks around, which will help it feel comfortable in the strong sunshine.
If you're heading to the beach fronts, the windy weather will create high rip current dangers. Red flags are posted so be careful if you decide to get into the ocean. It’ll be easy to be swept out with the current.

We are keeping our eyes on the cold front bringing severe storms across the southeast today. The front will start to move through northern Florida by tomorrow and arrive in South Florida by Tuesday. Travel delays are expected as there could be ripple delays in our airports due to the active weather across the country.
The chance for rain here remains low through the rest of the weekend. A stray shower is possible by Monday. The heat and humidity ahead of the cold front will spark an afternoon shower or two.

The most active day will be Tuesday. We are under a level 1, marginal risk, for severe storms. There could be gusty wind, small hail, frequent lightning, and we can't rule out an isolated tornado. In the last few active weather days, we’ve had a few warned spin-ups in South Florida. While the risk is low, it’s not zero.
We’ll stay unsettled through the middle of the week before we see the rain chances diminish in the forecast.
