LIVE: Track Hurricane Helene as it approaches Florida

Helene intensified into a major Category 4 hurricane on Thursday and was expected to strengthen further on its path toward Florida.

Helene was moving over the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday before an expected landfall in or near Florida's Big Bend region, possibly later Thursday night.
