Dolphins-Bills, Lions-Packers and Patriots-Cowboys highlight the NFL's Week 4 slate

NBC Universal, Inc.

Talk about a thrilling Week 3. And there's still 15 more to go.

The Miami Dolphins jumped to a historic 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos to move to 3-0, while Russell Wilson and Co. simultaneously dropped to an underwhelming 0-3 start in the Sean Payton era. Pivoting to another AFC East score, the Buffalo Bills routed the Washington Commanders 37-3 to end their 2-0 start and make it two wins in a row following the Week 1 loss to the New York Jets.

And that sets up what is expected to be the popcorn-inducing matchup when Week 4 rolls around.

Week 4 began with an NFC North showdown between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, followed by the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars early Sunday morning in London. Detroit and Jacksonville scored the victories in those two games.

The early window was highlighted by two overtime games, with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts picking up close wins. Elsewhere, the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos scored their first victories of the season and the Buffalo Bills earned a massive win over the Miami Dolphins.

The late slate featured just three games: two divisional affairs and one big-market clash. The Las Vegas Raiders fell 24-17 to the Chargers in Los Angeles with rookie QB Aidan O'Connell while the Arizona Cardinals saw Christian McCaffrey record four touchdowns in the San Francisco 49ers' win that pushed them to 4-0. The New England Patriots then were stumped by the Cowboys in Dallas 38-3.

Sunday Night Football was supposed to pit Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers against each other, but the Kansas City Chiefs just barely beat Zach Wilson and the New York Jets 23-20.

The week concluded with the Seattle Seahawks dominating the New York Giants 24-3 at MetLife Stadium for Monday Night Football.
