When we last heard from Marlins outfielder Logan Morrison, he was criticizing Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria for firing hitting coach John Mallee.

Now comes word that Marlins management has asked LoMo to "tone down" his comments about Loria and the team's personnel moves.

Morrison told the Palm Beach Post that team president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest spoke to him this week about his comments.

He was told not to "point fingers at the owner, stuff like that."

After the team fired Mallee last week, Morrison called the move needless and accused Loria of going over the head of the front office.

Morrison credits Mallee with turning him into a major league hitter, saying last week "He got me to the big leagues."

LoMo said Loria also spoke to him about his comments, but "He's not really mad."

Of course, Loria and Beinfest probably didn't count on LoMo spilling the beans on their meeting, so they might be having another conversation with him real soon.

The irony of the situation is that it was his mouth, and not his "scary" Twitter feed which got him in trouble in the first place.
