LeBron Threatened to Kick Heckler's Ass: Report

LeBron James had some strong words for a Wizards fan who talked about his mom, foul or no foul?

LeBron James is no stranger to hecklers when the Miami Heat play on the road. But it's not every day that he is so moved by an opposing fan that he says he'd like to kick the ass of a fan. James reportedly went at it with a heckler during the Heat's Friday night game against the Washington Wizards.

According to a tweet from writer Sarah Schorno - who contributes to NBCWashington - the fan made some disparaging comments about James' mother, Gloria James, and his former teammate Delonte West. The fan told Schorno that eventually LeBron had heard enough, and said to him, "The only reason you talk s--- is because you know I can't come off the court right now and beat your ass."

James continued, "But if I had a free pass, I'd kick yous ass right now." Moore replied, "I'm right here baby. Let's go." But security officials stepped in and removed him from the arena before things could escalate any further.

On Twitter, Schorno said she reached out to the Heat for comment on this story, but the team did not respond.

LeBron being heckled is nothing new. Having become the NBA's biggest villain, he gets jeers and boos at every road arena the Heat visits. Indeed, perhaps it is a bigger surprise that incidents like this don't happen more often.

Any player who actually enters the stands to confront a heckling fan would face huge fines and a long suspension from the NBA, so it's easy to see why James said what he did.

But somehow, we expect James will be portrayed as the villain in this story, even though all he did was stand up for himself.
