Will Ferrell must really love some Old Milwaukee.
Inexplicably, the A-list comedian and movie star recently, seemingly out of the blue, approached the Pabst Brewing Company about producing TV spots for the discount beer brand to air locally in Davenport, Iowa.
He also proposed to do them free of charge.
Pabst, naturally, let the "Step Brothers" star and "Funny or Die" mastermind have at it. The results are hilarious, if more than a little odd (Why Iowa? Why this beer? Why local TV ads? Why Will Ferrell?), but this could ultimately be a stroke of marketing genius.
Perhaps the former "Saturday Night Live" star hopes to give Dos Equis' "Most Interesting Man in the World" a run for his money? ("The Most Head-Scratching Man in the World"?) Or maybe this is some elaborate viral marketing for an upcoming movie?
You can see the (poor quality) ads below, although we'd urge Pabst to fire up an Old Milwaukee official YouTube page immediately.
