The high-end world of fashion, full of elaborate couture creations and luxe lifestyles, may seem like an unlikely place in which to look for the next great rapper, but that’s exactly what Sean “Diddy” Combs did for his upcoming album “Last Train to Paris.”
The rapper formerly known as Puff Daddy (and Puffy and P. Diddy), invited several fashion bigwigs, including the famously icy Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour herself to be part of the record, according to Vogue editor André Leon Talley’s article on Vogue’s website.
Wintour, according to the Daily News, is heard at the start of the second track introducing the song, saying “This is Anna Wintour from Vogue magazine, you are now listening to the Last Train to Paris.”
“This album features the voices of some of the most influential fashion personalities, including Marc Jacobs, Isaac Mizrahi, and Tommy Hilfiger, their voices in between songs,” writes Talley. “For my part, I recited words by James Baldwin, and Diddy respected it enough to leave it intact.
