Young boy found safe after Florida Amber Alert in Palm Beach, father in custody

A Florida AMBER Alert was issued on Sunday evening, for a young boy in Palm Beach County who was later found safe before his father was taken into custody.

A Florida AMBER Alert was cancelled on Sunday night for a young boy who was reported missing from Riviera Beach in Palm Beach County.

Christian Simeus, 7, was ultimately found safe after the alert had been issued earlier Sunday evening.

Riviera Beach police said in a news release that the boy's father, 44-year-old Jean Simeus, abducted him while at a park. He has been taken into custody.

The father and son were located in north Florida, where the Florida Highway Patrol pulled over the father's car on Interstate 75.
