Two mothers who went on a shoplifting spree in a Pompano Beach WalMart with three young children in tow were arrested Tuesday, authorities said.
Christine Aleksin, 27, and Jennifer Ingham, 28, are facing child neglect and retail theft charges, according to Broward Sheriff's Office arrest reports.
Aleksin and Ingham, of Oakland Park, were arrested and booked into jail. It was unknown if they've hired attorneys.
According to the arrest reports, Aleksin and Ingham were seen in the WalMart at 2300 W. Atlantic Boulevard placing merchandise into shopping bags.
They placed the bags in a cart and tried to leave out of the store's garden center but were caught in the parking lot, the report said.
The women had three children with them at the time, ages 2, 5 and 7, the report said. The total value of the items they took was $693.68, the report said.
