A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was stabbed and possibly struck by the suspect's car in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood Wednesday morning, police said.
Fort Lauderdale Police officials said officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 2900 block of Southwest 13th Street in the Riverland neighborhood around 9 a.m.

Officers found a woman at the scene with injuries that indicated she'd been stabbed and possibly struck by the suspect's vehicle, police said.
The woman, whose identity wasn't released, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Aerial footage showed multiple officers at the scene collecting evidence with part of the street closed off with yellow police tape.
Neighbors and witnesses said they heard screaming and yelling and saw a man punching and stabbing a woman who was in the driver's seat of an SUV.

The man tossed her purse and belongings onto the street and when she got out to retrieve them, the man got in the SUV and tried to hit her as he drove away, they said.
A neighbor's security camera showed the SUV leaving the scene.
Police haven't released information about the suspect but said their investigation is ongoing.
