A woman is dead after a fire broke out at a Miami Gardens flea market, police said.
Fire rescue responded to the Carolmart at 18200 NW 27th Avenue at 7:23 p.m. Saturday.
Police said an adult woman was still inside the building at the time of the fire. Rescue crews were able to extract the victim from the building and take her to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Authorities said she was in very serious condition and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The woman has not yet been identified and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
