Heavy rain Monday caused quite a mess in downtown Miami.
Footage from NBC6 showed several vehicles stalled out in floodwaters at Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 11th Street, an area that neighbors say is prone to flooding.

>As far as rainfall amounts, 4.16 inches of rain fell in Davie while just over four inches of rain fell in both Opa-locka and Little Havana between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

>"I've never seen it like this before," said one woman. She told NBC6 she was scared to navigate the streets.
City of Miami officials said they were pumping out water at locations in Mary Brickell Village, Edgewater and Northeast 55th Terrace and 7th Avenue.

Videos shared by Only in Dade showed more of the mess Monday, with cars accelerating through floodwaters, drivers pushing their stalled out vehicles, and people stranded, standing on a bench to avoid the deep waters.
Kevin Barrios' car got stuck in the floodwaters, and the loss was far greater than a means of transportation.
He told NBC6 that he, his wife and two kids have been sleeping in their car with all their belongings for the last three days after getting evicted.
Connie Calderon works in the building along the street where Barrios' car stalled and noticed they were in need.
"I gave them some clothes, some money, trying to do whatever I can," she said.
The rainfall prompted a flash flood warning and flood advisories in parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties into Monday night and early Tuesday.
This deep moisture may start to lift north of South Florida on Thursday with Friday and Saturday looking like the driest days in the extended forecast. Sunday and Monday may bring the rain right back in. Look for highs to return to the mid-80s with more sunshine late this week and weekend.
