Residents of coastal southeast Florida should expect intermittent thunderstorms with gusty winds and possibly even hail until the late afternoon Wednesday.
Around noon, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing hail was detected around Sweetwater, the National Weather Service said.

Residents from Palm Beach all the way down to the Keys should be prepared for thunderstorms and lightning. Since the ground is saturated from all the previous weeks of rain, there may be flooding, meteorologists said.
Overnight showers will also be possible as temperatures stay around 79. Thursday will be partly sunny with isolated showers and thunderstorms and highs around 89. Friday will stay the same with temps reaching the lower 90s.

The pattern will shift again this weekend as dry air moves in, settling storm chances and bringing hot sunshine to the pattern for the weekend.
