Broward County Transit released surveillance video on Tuesday from cameras that were rolling inside its bus that ran over a teen last week.
Screams can be heard inside the bus, and they get louder after 14-year-old Jerry Cunningham was run over in the 1200 block of E. Sample Road in Pompano Beach Friday morning.
He is in critical condition at Broward Health Medical Center, with fractures to his face, ribs and ankle. The teen was supposed to have surgery Tuesday, but it was rescheduled for Wednesday, Cunningham family attorney Glen Levine said.
Video taken from eight of the cameras on bus 1130 showed Cunningham running to catch the vehicle. One passenger is heard saying, “You have a runner.”

Passenger Brian Clark said last week that the teen was stuck, as part of his arm was caught in the door.
"I just saw the hand and then the kid was running sideways trying to keep (up with) the bus. Then the kid went under the bus,” he said.
Right after that, someone – possibly the bus driver – is heard repeatedly asking “How did he get there?"
That's when the calls to 911 were made. They were also released Tuesday.

"There’s a teenage boy who was running alongside the bus, and I told the bus driver to stop and he wouldn't and the child fell under the bus,” one woman said.

The driver, Reinaldo Soto, 55, is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation – which will undoubtedly rely heavily on the video from inside the bus. No one was home when NBC 6 went to Soto’s house on Tuesday.
Levine gave his thoughts on the video.
“As a parent and as an attorney, it's very disturbing,” he said. “It looks like something that certainly is preventable if someone was using a little more care.”
