Hialeah detectives arrested 47-year-old Susej Calcines in connection to the fatal hit-and-run.
A Hialeah woman is grieving after she identified her parents as the victims of a deadly hit-and-run on Sunday.
The elderly couple, 87-year-old Julio Hernandez and 84-year-old Manuela Hernandez, went out Sunday evening to play the lottery, but they never returned home.
Hialeah Police said the hit-and-run happened in the area of 8th Avenue and 47th Street around 7 p.m.
"They had just finished eating around 6:30 p.m. and went to play the lottery nearby," their daughter Maria told NBC6. "I went to their house two minutes later, noticed they weren't there and went to go look for them. When I saw the police, I ran over, but they were already gone."

Authorities said a dark colored SUV was driving south on 8th Avenue when the driver hit and killed the couple who was trying to cross the street and drove off.
On Monday, Hialeah detectives arrested 47-year-old Susej Calcines in connection to the fatal hit-and-run.
According to an arrest report, Calcines was driving a black 2007 Mercedes GL450 when she struck both pedestrians at the intersection.

She left without giving aid or leaving her information, the report said. Police said they later found the SUV at an apartment complex in Northwest Miami-Dade and identified Calcines as the driver.
Police said Calcines, who previously had a clean driving record, was the only person in the SUV.
Calcines later told police she had no recollection of the crash, the report said.
"This is heartbreaking. You just destroyed a family. An elderly couple, husband and wife that’s been able to build a life and a family here in the U.S, and you just destroyed that and you left the scene of the accident without rendering any type of aid to these people," Hialeah Police Lt. Eddie Rodriguez said. "I hope that the full weight of the law falls on her."
Calcines has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident. She was booked into jail and attorney information wasn't available.
