If you’re enchanted by Rome and want to come back, legend has it you’ll get your wish if you throw a coin backward into the Trevi Fountain, using your right arm over your left shoulder. Well that appears to be paying off for the fountain, NBC News reports, where nearly $1.5 million in change was thrown last year, according to the Italian charity that receives all coins, and anything else, chucked into its waters. “The [city] council hands over to us bags full of coins thrown into the fountain,” said Alberto Colajacomo, spokesman for Catholic nonprofit Caritas. The money gets reinvested into charitable initiatives.
The supposed silicone injections pumped into Rajindra Narinesingh's cheeks, lips and chin were anything but a cosmetic procedure.
"I thought what was being injected into me was okay," the 44-year-old transgendered woman said.
That was in 2006. Then one year later, Narinesingh had a massive and painful infection on her face.
"You know how a boil feels? It felt like there was a mass that wanted to bust out of my face, but it actually didn't," she said. "It just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger."
Some of those tumor-like nodules have been surgically removed and she now sees a real plastic surgeon for monthly injections to ease the inflammation.
"The doctor said he didn't know what kind of substance it was," Narinesingh said. The nodules were hard like cement.
Narinesingh said it was 30-year-old Oneal Morris, also a transgendered woman, who nearly disfigured her during her quest to have a more feminine-shaped face.
On Tuesday, Narinesingh, who lives in Hollywood, filed a police report against Morris with the Miami Gardens Police Department.
She said she found Morris, who police say had no medical qualifications, through other transgendered friends. She said she knew Morris wasn't a doctor but believed she was experienced with silicone injections.
She says she was also treated at the Miami Gardens home of Morris' alleged accomplice, Corey Eubank.
Both Morris and Eubank were arrested last week after a woman claimed she nearly died after Morris injected her buttocks with a mixture of cement, mineral oil, and a flat tire sealant. \

Eubank is pleading not guilty, and her lawyer said Wednesday she wasn't involved in the injections. Morris' attorney has said the allegations against her are also false.
More alleged victims have come forward since the news broke. Narinesingh said it took a lot for her to do the same.
"As a transgendered person, I was afraid to because the person being charged is trangendered and I am transgendered," she said. "So I thought my story would not be taken as credible as if it were coming from a biological woman."
Police believe more victims are out there and are urging them to come forward. Morris and Eubank are out of jail on bond, each charged with two count of practicing medicine without a license.
