Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade that left a tow truck driver dead early Saturday.
Florida Highway Patrol officials said a Nissan SUV collided with the truck near the SR-112 exit on I-95 southbound around 4:35 a.m.
The driver of the tow truck was helping a stranded motorist whose Cadillac broke down on the right shoulder of the highway.
After hitting the tow truck, the driver of the Nissan abandoned the SUV and fled on foot, officials said.
