Young boy, 4, recovering after shooting in Tamiami

Two adults were arguing and one of them discharged a firearm, that struck and injured a child inside the adjacent home.

Police are searching for a gunman in Tamiami after a Saturday night shooting sent a four-year-old boy to the hospital.

A young boy was rushed to the hospital on Saturday night after he was injured in a Tamiami shooting, police said.

Police confirmed to NBC6 that the child is 4 years old.

He is expected to recover, police added.

According to investigators two adults were arguing, it escalated and one of them discharged a firearm.

According to police one of the rounds hit and injured the child, who was inside the adjacent home.

The two adults involved in the dispute fled in an unknown direction.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Responded and transported the child in critical but stable condition to a nearby hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting have yet to be released.
