Miami Beach Police say a suspicious box that was left outside the bus loop at Miami Beach Senior High early Tuesday morning turned out to be empty.
Miami Beach Police bomb squad crews and Miami-Dade School Police responded to calls of a suspicious package just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the school, which is located at 2231 Prairie Avenue in Miami Beach.

According to Miami-Dade School Police, the students and staff were safe and secure inside the school throughout the incident.
Police confirmed just after 10 a.m. that the scene was clear and that the box was empty.

As police responded to the scene, crews closed Dade Boulevard between Meridian and Washington avenues.
The roads have since been reopened.
