The Miami Book Fair International is going royal this year.
For the 30th installment of the Fair, Felipe, Prince of Asturias, and his wife Letizia are jetting in to speak at the inaugural ceremony on Sunday because Spain is the featured country this year.
After that ceremony, "The Da Vinci Code" author Dan Brown will kick off the fair with a discussion of his new book "Inferno." He is part of the “Evenings With...” readings, which will take place at the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets for his reading are $15 each.
The book fair inauguration is free and open to the public. Spain’s Pavilion opens to the public at 7:30 p.m. and will display La lectura en cartel, an exhibition showing the evolution of Spanish graphic design for books.
Also on Sunday, author Jorge Edwards will discuss his new book, “Los Círculos Morados.” The free event will be at 8 p.m., at the Wolfson Campus Auditorium.
