Selina Guevara, an NBC News producer who happened to be in town for work, shot video of the immediate aftermath of the dramatic landing.

“It’s kind of wild that the pilot was able to land it perfectly in between the road and the beach and that nothing worse happened," Guevara said.

The video showed one of the plane's wheels came off and it hit a small post on the side of the roadway.

NBC 6's Xochitl Hernandez has more on what investigators said took place to cause the landing Saturday.

“And you could see a wheel had fallen off the plane, there was a little bit of a scratch on the wing like it looked like it had hit something," Guevara said. "There were a few people who were really stressed out because they thought that the airplane was gonna hit them.”

The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating what led to the crash.

The Rickenbacker Causeway entrance had been blocked off due to the crash investigation, but it later reopened.

No other information has been released.
