Three people were injured when a small plane went down in a field at Miami Executive Airport Monday, officials said.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews responded after the plane made an emergency landing around 9:30 a.m.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital as a trauma alert, while a second person was also hospitalized, officials said. A third person was treated at the scene.
Footage showed the plane sitting in a grass field near the airport's runway.
FAA officials said the Piper PA-28 crashed after departing from the airport, and said they will be investigating along with the NTSB.
