A single engine Cessna made a hard landing at Summerland Key Airport on Friday.
The pilot said he forgot to put down the landing gear, the Monroe County Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said in a statement.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
No other information was immediately available.
