Supermarket giant Publix's slogan is "Where shopping is a pleasure" - but that may not be the case for some customers looking to purchase specific products during the holidays.

The company based in Florida told NBC 6 Responds it is limiting customers to purchase two of select items at stores due to ongoing shortages related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Publix said demand for specific holiday items has also contributed to widespread shortages.

As far as other grocery chains, a Walmart spokesperson told NBC 6 Responds they "do not have any purchase limits on these items nationally and do not anticipate shortages."

But at Winn-Dixie grocery stores, there is a limit on turkeys. A spokesperson said this is to "help ensure all families have an opportunity to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal."
