At least one bullet casing was marked as evidence at the scene. It was not immediately known if anyone was arrested.
Police are investigating a shootout outside a Flanigan's restaurant at a Miramar shopping plaza early Thursday.
Two people were leaving Flanigan's at Miramar Park Place, in the area of Miramar Parkway and Red Road, at around 12:39 a.m., when they were approached by two suspects who robbed them at gunpoint, Miramar Police said.
"While the suspects were leaving, a victim fired several rounds at the suspect vehicle," police said.
The robbers returned fire before fleeing the scene, according to authorities.

No one was hurt in the shootout.
