Person questioned after man found shot to death in Coral Springs

A person was being questioned after a man was found shot to death in Coral Springs Monday morning, authorities said.

The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. at an apartment complex parking lot in the 200 block of Lakeview Drive.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed the victim's body on the ground covered in blood.

Coral Springs Police confirmed one person was dead and another was being questioned.

Police Chief Bradley McKeone said the shooting was possibly domestic-related and that it's believed the man and the person being questioned knew each other.

McKeone was a firearm was recovered at the scene, but said there was no threat to the community and police weren't seeking anyone else.

"This is a very safe neighborhood, it's a very large apartment complex, again, this appears to be a, I want to say isolated incident, again, known individuals to each other, some relationship, whether it's domestic or just known, but again, no threat to the community at this time," McKeone said.
