Rescue crews and officers arrived at the scene in the intersection of Pines Boulevard westbound at Hiatus Road around 6:30 a.m., finding the driver inside as the vehicle was on fire.
One officer smashed a window open to get that driver out, suffering minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Police cleared the intersection for traffic a short time later and have not released any information on what caused the incident.
