The Florida Lottery announced Tuesday that a Pembroke Pines man claimed a million-dollar prize in the Monopoly $2,000,000 Scratch-Off game.
Walner Telfort, 54, claimed the top prize in Tallahassee. He chose to collect his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,540,000.
The Florida Lottery said Telfort bought the million-dollar ticket from the Faster 7 Food Store in Hollywood. The store will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The overall odds of winning the $10 scratch-off game are one-in-3.45.
