A 25-year-old man who was wielding a pick-axe was killed in a police-involved shooting in southwest Miami-Dade Tuesday night, Miami-Dade Police officials said.

It happened just before 11 p.m. in the 8800 block of Southwest 183rd Terrace in Palmetto Bay, officials said.

According to police, officers responded to reports of a man breaking neighbors' vehicles' windows and puncturing tires with a pick-axe.
