The man police say was under the influence when he allegedly stole a car and hit two members of the NBC 6 family before fleeing the scene was in court Tuesday.
Travis Miller, 37, is facing multiple charges, including grand theft auto and leaving the scene. In a Broward County court Tuesday, Miller was given no bond based on a previous charge - while also telling the court he has a drinking problem.
Reporter Marissa Bagg and photographer Ross Noble were approaching the intersection of South 56th Avenue and Washington Street shortly before 1 PM when they were hit.
"You are driving normally and out of the corner of your eye you see a guy coming out of nowhere and there is not much you can do," said Noble.

Good Samaritans stopped Miller near the scene of the crash, where he was eventually taken into custody by police.

Hollywood Police said Miller stole a black Jeep from the CVS at Washington Street and 441 around 11:44 a.m.
The stolen car belonged to Jerell Ritchie's mom. He told NBC 6 he tried to stop Miller from taking off with the Jeep.
"I tried to hit him as hard as I can grab him by the neck and choked him out. I guess you could not breathe so he accelerated more on the gas then I looked up and saw what he was trying to do I had to let him go," said Ritchie.
Less than 45 minutes later, Miller crashed into the news vehicle at the intersection of Washington Street and 56th avenue, police said.
Noble and Bagg were treated at the scene by Hollywood Fire Rescue.
Miller could also be charged with driving under the influence, pending tests.
