Police investigating after 16-year-old boy shot while walking in Lauderhill

An investigation is underway in Lauderhill after a 16-year-old boy was shot, police said.

According to Lauderhill Police, officers responded to a shooting call Saturday night near the 5500 block of Northwest 27th Court.

Detectives said the teen was walking along Northwest 55th Avenue and 25th Court when he was hit by a bullet.

The victim, police said, then ran to 27th Court, where law enforcement was contacted.

The victim was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center. His condition is not known.
