Miami Police are interviewing a possible subject in a sexual battery in Brickell, the department said Thursday evening.
The battery happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex at 1000 Southeast 1st Avenue in Brickell.

>Miami Police officials said a man pushed a woman into her apartment, demanded a sexual act, then hit her with a metal pipe.
Police on Wednesday released surveillance footage and images of the person of interest.

>The footage shows the man follow the woman into an elevator as he pretends to be on his phone.
Police said after he hit her with the pipe, she was able to get away and barricaded herself in her bedroom, then opened her balcony door and started screaming for help.

The suspect was able to flee the scene. He's described as a Black male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-foot-10, skinny build, with a large afro, goatee and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, a gray shirt with a Levi Strauss logo on the front, black shorts and black and red sneakers.
