A Miami man is $500,000 richer after he hit the jackpot in a lottery scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery announced Monday.
Orlando Quiroga, 55, bought the $5 scratch-off game called the "$500,000 Gold Rush" from a 7-Eleven on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach. He claimed the top prized at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.23.
The Florida Lottery did not reveal whether Quiroga received his winnings in a lump-sum or annuity.
