Miami-Dade Man, Girlfriend Arrested For Allegedly Beating Up His Grandmother For Refusing to Drive Them Home

A 25-year-old Miami man and his 27-year-old girlfriend are behind bars after allegedly beating up his grandmother over a drive home for sex.

Police responded to a home off Southwest 188th Street and 197th Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. Once they arrived, officers spoke with the grandmother. The woman said that her grandson, Michael Rubio, and his girlfriend, Jacquelyn Carrasquillo, got into an argument with her because she wouldn’t drive them to Carrasquillo’s house so they could have sex, according to an arrest affidavit.

The victim stopped her car and got out while both Rubio and Carrasquillo began hitting her in the body and face before throwing her to the ground, the affidavit said. She got away while both Rubio and Carrasquillo left in the car before being arrested later.
