Footage showed a large amount of officers on Miami Central's campus from Miami-Dade County Schools Police and Miami-Dade Police.
District officials said the lockdowns were the result of an off-campus incident that happened after dismissal, and that there was some sort of trespassing but it was unknown if any buildings had been entered.

Sources told NBC6 that police had spotted two minors at a 7-Eleven across the street from the school and that one was believed to have a firearm.
The pair took off toward the school, causing the lockdown there and at nearby Turner Tech, sources said.
One woman who arrived at the school said she's the mother of someone police were looking for at the school, and said she'd called 911 but didn't say why.
