Miami Beach Senior High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after police said they received a threat through their 911 call center.

Footage showed multiple officers at the school on Prairie Avenue, with several officers searching an area with K-9s.

Miami Beach Police officials said they performed a thorough search and secured the school, and no threat was identified.

Police said a perimeter had been established around the school, and Miami-Dade Police and Miami-Dade County Public Schools Police assisted.

The incident led to school dismissal being delayed.

Miami-Dade School Board officials had earlier said the threat appeared to not be credible.

No other information was immediately known.
