Brown's daughter, 19-year-old Kaniya Brown, spoke to NBC6.

“I'm just angry and hurt,” she said.

Kaniya said the girl in the car was her mother's daughter and the boy was her mother's boyfriend's son.

“They were just going home to my stepdad’s house," she said.

They were all transported to the hospital, where Brown succumbed to her injuries.

The children, officials said, remain in critical condition.

Officials said they believe there were multiple shooters involved.

"The preliminary information has indicated that several shooters approached the vehicle and shot into the vehicle striking all three victims,” said a deputy.

Brown's family said the car that was shot belonged to her boyfriend.

The family told NBC6 they don't believe the shooting was targeted.

They also confirmed that Brown was a Transportation Security Administration agent.

“I just want whoever did this to just turn yourself in because you all took my mom and you don't know how it feels to not have a mom,” Kaniya said.
