Police busted a grow house on Friday night in a subdivision of Doral, with marijuana plants that had an estimated street value of about $130,000.
Authorities said they do have persons of interest but so far no arrests have been made.
Neighbors said the plants smelled even outside the home.
Authorities said it was not a sophistated operation. There were exposed wires and leaking pipes. Plants were growing and also drying for sale, police said.
But neighbors said they would see people coming by a few times a week in the evening hours.
"I am super surprised. I have three little kids and they play around all day and they ride their bikes. It's shocking how they have been exposed or at risk of being exposed to such a horrible thing," said neighbor Claudia Chin.
Police had gotten anonymous calls complaining about the smell coming from the house.
