Three people are dead and one person is in custody after a shooting Tuesday night in southwest Miami-Dade, police said. Neighbor Martha Valverde she called 911.

Police say a man shot his child's grandparents before turning the gun on himself during a dispute in a southwest Miami-Dade home Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at a home in the 1800 block of Southwest 70th Avenue when 34-year-old Oney Campiz was involved in an argument with 59-year-old Martha Kim Jo and 55-year-old Leonardo Diaz, Miami-Dade Police said.

Campiz has a 4-year-old child with Edelind Subarnaba, the daughter of Jo and Diaz, police said.

Police say Campiz shot Jo and Diaz before shooting himself. Subarnaba and three children who were inside the home at the time of the shooting were able to escape unharmed, police said.

Officers arrived and found the three bodies.

Neighbors said they had seen some of the family about 10 minutes before the shooting happened and were shocked that the couple was killed.

"I'm scared and surprised," said Lizet Gonzalez, who has lived next door to the couple about three years. "I'm sad...because I wouldn't expect that."
