Miami-Dade Police officials said officers responded to the area after receiving a ShotSpotter gunshot detection alert and found a man with gunshot wounds.
The victim was identified Friday as 48-year-old Antwan Lavon Ingraham. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

"They took a good man, just know that. That man was a hard-working man, washed cars everyday for his family," said a neighbor who didn't want to be identified. "They gotta stop. The violence gotta stop."
Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed a large police presence at the scene, and the Ingraham's body covered by a yellow tarp next to a silver SUV.
People who appeared to be friends or family members were very emotional, shedding tears as they left the scene.

Officers with rifles and tactical gear were later seen going inside what looked like an apartment complex nearby.
One person was seen being taken into custody, but it was unknown if that person was connected to the shooting.
Police said they believe Ingraham was a victim of a drive-by shooting but said they don't have any information on a vehicle or suspects.
Friends said he was a local DJ who worked at a nearby car wash.
"He doesn’t bother no one. I don’t know who would do this to him. And I don’t understand," Darrell Collins said.
Romania Dukes with "Mothers Fighting for Justice," a group that advocates against gun violence, said she knew the victim well and told NBC6 he was a family-oriented person.
She said the shooting happened in the same neighborhood where her 18-year-old son De'Michael Dukes was shot and killed in 2014.
"He didn't deserve to die," said Dukes. "The only way we can receive justice and stop all this shooting is if we come together and say enough is enough."
The shooting remains under investigation.
