One person was killed and another has been charged after a fiery crash in southwest Miami-Dade early Thursday morning.
Domingo Ramos and Samuel Garcia, both 17, were in the car when it crashed through a fence hit a tree and burst into flames at 19370 Southwest 280th Street in Redland, Miami-Dade Police said.
Garcia was ejected from the car and died at the scene. Ramos fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended, police said.
Bonnie Graves, who lives nearby, said she saw the car on fire and spoke to the man who fled on foot.
"He said his brother was still in there," Graves said.
Ramos was charged with leaving the scene of a traffic crash resulting in death and operating a vehicle without a license. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
