2 men killed after altercation ends in shooting in SW Miami-Dade: Police

A third man was detained by detectives, according to Miami-Dade Police

Two men were killed and a third was detained after an altercation ended in a shooting at a southwest Miami-Dade home Sunday evening, police said.

Officers responded to the home at 21495 Southwest 240th Street just after 5 p.m. where they found two men with gunshot wounds, Miami-Dade Police officials said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced both men dead at the scene. Their identities haven't been released.

A third man was detained by detectives while a fourth fled the scene before police arrived, officials said.

According to detectives, it appears the four men were involved in some sort of altercation before shots were fired.

More details on the circumstances surrounding the initial altercation have not been released.
