Worker Fatally Shot at Assisted Living Facility in SW Miami-Dade

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Keenen Bullard

The mother of Keenen Bullard, who was fatally shot at the group home he works for, speaks out. NBC 6’s Laura Rodriguez reports.

Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot at an assisted living facility in southwest Miami-Dade early Sunday.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. at the home at 11040 Southwest 172nd Terrace, Miami-Dade Police said.

Officers responded to the home after receiving a Shotspotter signal. Inside the home, the officers found a man who had been shot multiple times.

The 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Keenen Bullard.

Police said the home is an assisted living facility, Angel Heart Support Services. Bullard was an employee of the facility. None of the residents were injured in the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation.
